Before the applause, there is the story of how someone changed the world.

HONOREE FILMS

Some legacies deserve more than applause. They deserve to be remembered.

Through Blue-Eyed Boy Creative Studios, Chris Williams served as Executive Producer and Showrunner for VH1/Logo’s Trailblazer Honors, a celebration dedicated to the pioneers who have advanced LGBTQ+ visibility, equality, and civil rights., and led the creative teams responsible for producing more than twenty honoree films.

These films crafted the emotional landscape of the event and were designed to do more than introduce an award recipient. They served as cinematic tributes that distilled decades of courage, advocacy, and cultural impact into powerful short-form storytelling. Blending archival footage, cultural context, interviews, and deeply personal narratives, each piece set the emotional tone in the room while honoring the legacy of individuals whose work reshaped society.

The honorees represented a remarkable cross-section of civil rights and cultural leadership, including icons such as Bayard Rustin - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s mentor and the architect of the 1963 March on Washington, Billie Jean King - who spent a lifetime fighting for women’s equality in the work place, Harvey Fierstein - a pioneer for LGBTQ+ equality in entertainment, President Barack Obama - who advanced legislation that legalized Same Sex Marriage and protected LGBTQ+ rights under the law, and Dennis and Judy Shepard - who have worked tirelessly since the murder of their son Matthew to fight against hatred, many others whose bravery and leadership helped expand the boundaries of equality and representation.

In addition to this body of work, Blue-Eyed Boy Creative Studios was also selected to craft a tribute film honoring Sir Paul McCartney, highlighting his extraordinary philanthropic response following the September 11 attacks and his support for New Yorkers through the anti-poverty organization Robin Hood Foundation.

Across each film, the goal remained the same… to create a moment of collective recognition. The kind that quiets a room, elevates a legacy, and reminds audiences that progress is built on the courage of those willing to lead.

SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY

For the Golden Archer Award, presented annually by the New York nonprofit Robin Hood Foundation, Blue-Eyed Boy Creative Studios was selected to produce the tribute film honoring Paul McCartney for his extraordinary humanitarian efforts supporting the city of New York, most notably in the wake of the September 11 attacks, and the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Narrated by Alicia Keys, the film tells the story of McCartney’s deeply personal connection to the city during one of its darkest moments. After witnessing the aftermath of the attacks firsthand, McCartney helped organize and headline The Concert for New York City, an historic benefit that raised millions of dollars for first responders and the families affected by the tragedy.

The tribute film highlights not only McCartney’s role in that landmark moment, but also his enduring commitment to philanthropy through his partnership with the Robin Hood Foundation, whose work has helped lift millions of New Yorkers out of poverty.

Through archival footage, music, and powerful narration, the film celebrates a side of McCartney that extends far beyond music. It reveals an artist who stepped forward when a city needed hope, using his voice, his platform, and his influence to help bring a wounded community together.

Created for a room filled with civic leaders, philanthropists, and cultural icons, the film set the emotional tone for the evening, honoring a global legend whose compassion proved that the power of music can extend far beyond the stage.
