Stories for the people who make the work possible.

BRAND FILMS

At Blue-Eyed Boy Creative, we craft films designed to inspire belief at the highest levels of organizations and culture. These are not traditional marketing pieces or promotional reels. They are strategic stories created to communicate vision, reinforce legacy, and spark partnership.

These films have helped organizations rally around shared purpose, bring social impact partners to the table, and remind teams why the work they do matters. They have been used to align leadership, inspire employees across global companies, and help mission-driven initiatives find the partners needed to grow.

From films presented at the White House, to internal storytelling that celebrated the cultural legacy of MTV and Paramount Global, to business partnership films that helped forge collaborations with organizations like AARP and Walmart for Paramount+, each project is crafted with intention.

The most powerful partnerships rarely begin with a pitch, they start with a narrative and a story that people believe in.

MTV 40

Created in 2021 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of MTV, this celebratory reel honored the network’s unparalleled influence on music, culture, and social change across four decades.

The piece traced MTV’s evolution from a disruptive music television experiment into one of the most culturally defining brands in media history. Through a dynamic mix of archival footage and iconic moments, the film captured how MTV helped shape not only entertainment, but the cultural conversations of its time.

Featured are some unforgettable moments that defined generations of viewers: Madonna’s groundbreaking “Like a Virgin” performance at the1984 MTV Video Music Awards, the cultural phenomenon of Jersey Shore, the irreverent animated rebellion of Beavis and Butt-Head, and Yo! MTV Raps, which helped bring hip-hop to the forefront of global culture.

But the film also highlighted something deeper about MTV’s legacy. From broadcasting live as the Berlin Wall fell, to championing LGBTQ+ equality, to using the VMAs as a platform for powerful social statements, the reel underscored the network’s long-standing role as a cultural megaphone during pivotal moments in history.

The film spotlights some of the most powerful intersections of entertainment and activism on the VMA stage, including Common addressing The Ferguson Protests in 2014, Logic’s performance of “1-800-273-8255” supporting suicide prevention in 2017, and the message of hope and resilience to audiences from Lady Gaga during the global pandemic in 2020.

Creative directed as both a celebration and a reflection, the reel served as a reminder that MTV has always been more than a television network. It has been a platform where music, culture, and social change collide.

We GrEw Up TOgether

Created to support a strategic partnership between Paramount+ and AARP, this film positioned the iconic storytelling legacy of Paramount’s library for a new generation of viewers.

Moving seamlessly from I Love Lucy to The Godfather, from South Park to Star Trek, the film celebrated the timeless cultural impact of Paramount’s storytelling universe while highlighting the breadth of premium entertainment available on the platform.

The narrative was rooted in a simple but powerful idea: That Paramount and AARP Members have one important thin in common: We grew up together.

By connecting generations through beloved cultural touchstones, this film helped reinforce the natural alignment between the two organizations and supported the launch of a profitable partnership designed to bring Paramount+’s legendary catalog to millions of AARP members.

CULTURE ORIENTATION

MTV Entertainment Studios tapped into Blue-Eyed Boy to create a five-film series as part of a workshop designed to shape and reinforce the company’s cultural values.

The films became the foundation of a mandatory culture workshop taken by employees across MTV Entertainment Studios. Each piece explored a different pillar of inclusive storytelling and workplace culture, including Multi-Dimensionality and Nuance, Joy and Resilience, Teachable Moments, and Shattering Stereotypes.

Designed to spark reflection, conversation, and accountability, the films helped transform complex cultural principles into accessible, meaningful discussions for teams across the organization.

The workshop and accompanying film series were honored with a 2023 Shorty Award, recognizing the initiative’s impact in advancing thoughtful and intentional cultural storytelling within the entertainment industry.

FIRST TIME DIRECTORS

Launched in 2021, the First Time Directors initiative was designed to create new pathways into the industry for emerging filmmakers whose voices have historically been underrepresented in Hollywood.

The program focused on providing up-and-coming Female and BIPOC directors with the opportunity to direct their first professional film project for Paramount Pictures, Paramount+, or MTV Entertainment Studios. Each filmmaker selected for the initiative would be paired with a high-profile Executive Producer mentor, creating a bridge between emerging talent and some of the industry’s most respected storytellers.

The initiative brought together an extraordinary group of creative champions including John Leguizamo, Salma Hayek, Jamie Foxx, David Oyelowo, Angela Bassett, Regina King, Idris Elba, Eva Longoria, and Courtney B. Vance, all of whom committed to helping guide and elevate the next generation of filmmakers.

Blue-Eyed Boy Creative helped shape the storytelling and creative materials used to introduce the initiative and communicate its mission to partners and internal leadership, framing the program not simply as a development pipeline, but as a commitment to expanding who gets to tell stories in Hollywood.

Because the future of storytelling depends on who is given the opportunity to step behind the camera.
